Carol M. Swain is Professor of Political Science and of Law at Vanderbilt University. Formerly, she was a tenured faculty member at Princeton. She received a B.A. from Roanoke College, an M.A. from VPI & SU, a Ph.D. from UNC- Chapel Hill, and a MSL from Yale. Her books include Be the People: A Call to Reclaim America's Faith and Promise (forthcoming, 2011), Debating Immigration (ed.) 2007; Contemporary Voices of White Nationalism (2003), The New White Nationalism in America:Its Challenge to Integration,and Debating Immigration (2002), Black Faces, Black Interests: The Representation of African Americans in Congress,1993, 95.
