Andrew Campanella is one of the education reform movement's youngest and most enthusiastic communications strategists. As director of communications and marketing for the Alliance for School Choice, Andrew is an outspoken advocate for the rights of low-income parents. He directs all public outreach, communications, and research for the Alliance, which is the nation's largest nonprofit organization promoting school vouchers and scholarship tax credit programs.

Previously, Andrew worked to recruit more than 3,500 teachers for America's K-12 schools as senior director of teacher recruitment and communications for the American Board for Certification of Teacher Excellence (ABCTE). Managing a dedicated staff of eight professionals, Andrew and his team worked to generate more than $1 million in positive publicity for the organization, and helped expand ABCTE's reach throughout the country.

An award-winning communicator, Andrew has appeared on hundreds of radio and television programs, and is a frequent contributor to magazines and newspapers.

Prior to his work in education reform, Andrew specialized in tourism public relations. He is the chief executive officer of CCG, LLC Public Relations, a boutique communications strategy firm that specializes in promoting tourist destinations.

As president of CCG, Andrew worked to ensure media relations success for flagship clients including one of America's most treasured natural attractions, Niagara Falls. CCG also represented Prince William County, Virginia during the famed Presidents Cup golf tournament.

He has also served as media relations manager for the world's largest professional association of theme parks—the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), where he secured newsmaker interviews on CBS News, MSNBC, the Today show, and in print publications including the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post.

His career also includes serving as a tourism public relations spokesperson for Manassas, Virginia and Atlantic City, New Jersey.

He is vice chairmanof the D.C. Youth & Government Program, an initiative that provides an innovative civics-education curriculum to inner city DC high school students.

He is a member of the Arlington (Virginia) Superintendent's Commission on Accountability and Evaluation, a member of the Alexandria Building Code Zoning Board of Appeals, and past president of the Greater Manassas Junior Chamber of Commerce.
