I'm a tenured Professor of Cinema and Television Arts at California State University, Northridge where I head the film production program. I have produced award winning PBS documentaries, feature films, commercials and television public service ads. I'm considered the 'guru' of radio and televivision PSAs. In 2014 I won an Emmy Award for a series of 30 second television public service ads on intellectual property theft (counterfeit clothing, counterfeit meds, music/movie piracy, trade secrets) I directed and produced for the FBI and U.S. Department of Justice.

I am qualified to discuss popular culture in film, television, media including commercials and public service campaigns and issues that are covered by such media. Also, issues of minority and women representation or lack of representation in film, television and media including commercials. I can discuss piracy issues and political advertisement issues.
I am also qualified to discuss film production issues including motion picture financing, distribution and marketing as well as narrative television prodcution issues. I am a frequent guest lecturer on these issues in China at film schools at Shanghai University, Nanjing University of the Arts, and Nanjing University of Science and Technology.
